RESPONSIBILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
Key areas of responsibility include:
• Microbiological analysis of finished product, in-line, and environmental samples
• Completing all documentation required for laboratory procedures
• Ensuring good manufacturing practices and HACCP program compliance through training and inspection activities
• Ensuring that finished products are manufactured according to product specification
• Act as a liaison to outside agencies where required
• Co-ordinate Company’s OH&S program through training and inspection activities

This is a fast-paced environment in a food processing plant. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Post secondary education, technology or sciences preferred
• Ability to follow precise procedures and be a self-starter
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others
• A strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and procedures
• Previous lab or food science experience will be considered an asset

Additional hours may be required based on production demands. Individuals must be prepared to carry out any required shift work. #
